Joseph McCoy is a criminal defense attorney who represents individuals in the courts and on campus. Prior to attending law school, he worked as an administrator at Georgetown University. Among his various positions, he worked in the Office of
University Counsel with attorneys who handled the most serious student disciplinary and academic infractions.
Prior to starting his own practice, Joseph McCoy worked as a law clerk in the D.C. Superior Court for the Honorable Linda K. Davis in the Mental Health Community Court, and the Honorable Robert I. Richter in felony criminal court. In these roles he worked closely with Judges on hundreds of criminal cases and experienced first-hand the inner-workings of the Court system.
